Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder quietly took over a small venue in Seattle on Thursday (Oct. 30) to help raise money for the EB Research Partnership.

During the 20-song performance, Vedder switched up guitars and a fan yelled "I love you," Rolling Stone notes. "Normally I can ignore that kind of shit," the singer responded. "It's harder to do in a room with only 90 people."

Vedder played cuts by Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Neil Young in addition to solo tunes and Pearl Jam tracks (see full setlist below). His cover of John Lennon's "Imagine," which he performed over the summer in Portugal and subsequently released on iTunes, came during the encore. By the end of the performance, Vedder had become quite chummy with the crowd.

"Whenever you get into high donor events you think it's going to be a shit crowd," he said. "I'm glad you came, Seattle. For a 90-person crowd, you couldn't be better."

EB, or Epidermolysis Bullosa, is a skin disease that causes blistering and severe pain for those affected by it. Just last month, Vedder, a board member for EB Research Partnership, released a video about the disease. "When I first heard about it, it was quite hard to grasp the intensity of the condition," Vedder said. "It's about the most insane skin disorder you can imagine. And when you realize it also affects the internal organs, then you see it as diabolical."
