The future looked bleak for Allman Brothers fans after the group's final show last week at the Beacon Theater. But Gregg Allman appears to have other plans. Following the group's breakup, He has announced a 10-date solo tour that kicks off with a New Year's Eve gig at Atlanta's Symphony Hall and ends in Savannah, Georgia, Jan. 17, according to Rolling Stone.

The writing was on the wall for the Allman Brothers when guitarists Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes said 2014 would be their last year as members of the Allman Brothers band. Gregg Allman, in an interview with Relix magazine, did not close the door for a possible reunion in the future, but for now the Allman Brothers are officially retired.

Just days after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band played their final show, Gregg Allman announced the dates for his revamped solo career, where he will be joined by guitarist Scott Sharrard, longtime band percussionist Marc Quinones, Peter Levin on keyboard, drummer Steve Potts, bassist Ron Johnson and a full horn section that includes Jay Collins, Art Edmaiston and Marc Franklin.

Gregg Allman will be bringing his band back down South, first with the aforementioned Atlanta gig, and then shows in Nashville and Athens, Georgia, and two gigs in Florida. His website also showed a booking on the lineup for Coachella next year, which is interesting since the full lineup has not been released yet.

Nothing has been announced for any other dates across the U.S. besides the Coachella date in California, but keep your eyes peeled to see if he will be bringing the band anywhere else in 2015. Judging by the reasons for the breakup, there will probably be less tour dates for the band, but do not be surprised to see Gregg Allman playing shows next summer.

Here are his solo tour dates:

December 31, 2014 - Atlanta, GA @ Symphony Hall
January 3, 2015 - Ft. Myers, FL @ Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Center
January 4 - Hollywood, FL @ Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
