The band is slotted to play noteworthy dates in August, including a stop at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York. Tickets for the band's remaining summer shows are on sale averaging just over $100. The current lineup features original band member Gary Rossington, joined by Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark "Sparky" Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Johnny Colt, Peter Keys, Dale Krantz Rossington and Carol Chase. -

Georgia state officials recently released the autopsy of Sarah Jones, the camera assistant for the Gregg Allman biopic Midnight Rider who was killed last year while working on the movie. Jones was struck by a train while the crew was filming a dream sequence for the film in Wayne County. A judge found the film's director, Randall Miller, guilty of involuntary manslaughter in criminal trespass for not obtaining the proper clearances to shoot near the tracks. -

Miller, who originally entered a plea of "not guilty," changed it to "guilty" today, Mar. 9, resulting in a reduced sentence and dropped charges for his wife Jody Savin, who was involved with the movie as a producer. -
