Disney released a new trailer for its fairy-tale-packed movie Into the Woods, and despite getting fans even more excited, it also features Meryl Streep's crystalline vocals.

As Billboard notes, the movie musical follows some of the most famous characters of the supernatural. Jack and his magic beans, Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood and The Wolf (Johnny Depp) all make appearances in the trailer. The film is based on Steven Sondheim's Broadway favorite and James Lapine's book that revolve around The Baker and his Wife who try to get a spell lifted by traveling ... into the woods to retrieve items The Witch (Streep) needs for a potion.

We get a glimpse into the fantastical world of the picture in the trailer below, which has all of these famous stories intersecting. Streep, in some rough makeup, sets the plot before the other characters take over. Around the 1:30 mark, she begins showing off her pipes during a final montage. Check it out below.

"I don't think people will be remotely ready to hear her sing this material," director Rob Marshall said about Streep. "The power from her is off the charts."

Sondheim reportedly wrote a new song for the movie especially for the actress's character.

Into the Woods won a slew of Tony Awards for its initial productions in the 1980s, eventually coming back full-force in 2002. The movie is out Dec. 25.

This will not be Streep's first time playing a character on the silver screen that originally gained popularity on Broadway. In 2008, she played Donna Carmichael in Hollywood's version of Mamma Mia! Her version of the title tune won a People's Choice Award and was nominated for a Grammy.

What did you think of the trailer? Is Streep's voice as good as her acting? Are you excited to see the movie? Comment below?
