Dave Grohl recently said that the Foo Fighters are in for the Glastonbury Festival in 2015. All organizers have to do is give the group a call.

"I mean, it's an iconic festival," the frontman told NME. "I just tell everyone if they need a band, we're pretty good. They should give us a call. See what happens."

An organizer for the festival, Emily Eavis, sounded intrigued by Grohl's remarks. "We'd love to have the Foo Fighters back at Glastonbury and they haven't played since 1998 so its well overdue! We'll have to see," she said.

Fleetwood Mac were rumored frontrunners for the storied festival at one point until drummer Mick Fleetwood shut that all down. "One of the things that I'd like to clear up is that we're not playing Glastonbury," he told Chris Evans of BBC Radio 2 on Friday (Nov. 7). "A lot of folks think that we are, so loud and clear: We love Glastonbury and all the surrounding history of such a lovely festival but we're not playing it."

Glastonbury Festival has been going on since 1970, with the first concert being held the day after Jimi Hendrix died, according to the festival's website. The Kinks were the first headliners

Last year, the festival featured numerous acts on various stages including Metallica, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, Skrillex, Lana Del Rey and Jack White.

Muse and AC/DC are other favorites to headline the festival, and NME readers are hopelessly wishing for an Oasis reunion. Tickets for the 2015 event, which will take place in June, are currently sold out.
