2014 was definitely YG's breakout year and he's ending things on a high note with the release of a short film and soundtrack titled Blame It On The Streets. The Compton rapper made the big announcement after Snoop Dogg crowned him and DJ Mustard the "new pioneers of West Coast hip-hop."

According to XXL, Blame It On The Streets will be released on December 15. The soundtrack will be YG's second full-length release of the year following his Def Jam debut My Krazy Life. The 30-minute short film will be screened in Los Angeles, New York City and Atlanta before its official December release.

Aside from his new music and film, YG is gearing up for his joint tour with A$AP Ferg. The BestCoast Connection tour kicks off tomorrow, November 13 and the two released a new song together to celebrate. As previously reported, "This Side" features heavy trap production from THE FAM.

Last month, legendary rhymer Snoop Dogg called YG and frequent collaborator DJ Mustard the "new pioneers of West Coast hip-hop" during an interview on his GGN YouTube show.

"Y'all the new pioneers of the generation of hip-hop right now for the West Coast, you and YG," Snoop said. "That's y'all sound. It's dope. I love it. I love it, I hear your name on everybody record and how everybody from R&B to hip-hop is getting at you."
