Garage rock wizard Ty Segall has announced the release of a new live album called Live in San Francisco (that's the cover up above). The album is set for release Jan. 26 through Castle Face Records and was recorded with the Ty Segall Band, whom Segall recorded with for his 2012 fuzz-rock masterpiece Slaughterhouse. Segall records most of his other albums by himself.

According to Pitchfork, the album is the latest in Castle Face's Live in San Francisco series, all of which are engineered by labelhead John Dwyer, who is also the singer and guitarist of psychedelic garage band Thee Oh Sees. The Ty Segall Band's Live in San Francisco was recorded at the Rickshaw Stop venue.

This is the second installment of Castle Face's Live at San Francisco series that Segall has been a part of, following the 2013 release by his band Fuzz, which he plays drums for.

In anticipation of the album, Castle Face has shared the album's closing number, a blistering version of "What's Inside Your Heart" that is somehow even better than the studio version. You can check out the song here via Pitchfork:
