U2 fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see U2 take up their weeklong residency on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Scheduled for this week, the band has had to postpone indefinitely their residency due to an injury incurred by Bono while he was cycling in Central Park, according to Billboard.

U2 released the following statement on their website:

"It looks like we will have to do our 'Tonight Show' residency another time — we're one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding."

The band was scheduled to perform this week, from Monday, Nov. 17, to Friday, Nov. 21. The timing could not have been more difficult for The Tonight Show, which now has to schedule an act on less than 24 hours notice and fill up the rest of this week's schedule on a day's notice, but accidents happen and they do have an outstanding house band in The Roots that could fill in at any moment.

This is the second weird accident to happen to Bono in a week. A few days ago, a door to his private jet blew off mid-flight while traveling to Berlin to join his bandmates at the Bambi Awards, the German equivalent of the Emmys. The singer and other passengers lost luggage, though thankfully no one was hurt.

No word on when the band will try to reschedule their residency on the show or if they will do another full week on the show. While you wait, watch U2's last performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where they kicked off Fallon's residency on the show in February.
