Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard spared no expense when he proposed to his girlfriend, Hayley Stommel recently. The "Dirt" singer took his wife-to-be up in a helicopter to pop the big question. Hubbard talked about the moment with Taste of Country, saying that it was a special setting since his father died in a helicopter crash.

"There's several reasons I wanted to do that," Hubbard said. "I wanted to do it on our property, but I didn't want to take her out on my tractor and propose to her, so I figured we'd do it from a helicopter."

The country star said he didn't want helicopters to forever mean something negative to him.

"Just kind of leaving that memory of a helicopter in a positive light, you know what I'm saying, and to kind of have that memory instead of the other memory is a lot better," he said. "You know, for us, it was an epic night and it was an awesome thing. I still love flying in helicopters, I love flying in planes and it is something I may end up doing down the road and it's not all bad."

Hubbard added that the wedding will most likely take place during the summer of 2015.

The other half of Florida Georgia Line, Brian Kelley, got married in January at a secret ceremony. "We partied and celebrated, but it was intimate," the singer told People. "We focused on each other."

The duo's second studio album, Anything Goes, came out last month and went straight to the top of the charts. Kelley and Hubbard performed at this year's CMAs and recently released the video for their second single, "Sun Daze."
