Recently reunited punk heroes Sleater-Kinney have shared another new song from their upcoming album No Cities To Love, an unruly riff storm titled "Surface Envy," which you can check out below. The track, which originally premiered during an NPR interview but has now surfaced online, is classic Sleater-Kinney: dark post-punk riffs played on fuzzy guitars with singer Corin Tucker wailing over the top of it all, so diehard fans will not be disappointed. Tucker's voice has certainly matured, but she still maintains its distinctive power.

"Surface Envy" is the second song to be shared from No Cities To Love, following "Bury Our Friends," which was included as a bonus seven-inch in band's recent career-spanning box set Start Together. No Cities To Love is set for release on January 20, and will be Sleater-Kinney's eighth studio album, their first since 2005's The Woods.

During the band's recent interview on NPR, Corin Tucker and guitarist Carrie Brownstein discussed how the beloved trio came about reuniting. "Carrie was at my house," Tucker said (via Spin), "We were hanging out ... We were talking about playing music and I said, 'I wonder if we're ever gonna do a Sleater-Kinney show again.'"

"I think we had two people in the room who are known fans of the band," Brownstein added, "One is Corin's husband, Lance Bangs, and the other is Fred Armisen ... they were very encouraging, and I think just wouldn't let the conversation die ... we talked to Janet [Weiss, Sleater-Kinney's drummer] and, you know, the conversation started."

In support of No Cities To Love, Sleater-Kinney is setting off on a tour in February and March 2015. The tour kicks off in Spokane, Washington on February 8 and finishes up in Dublin on March 26. You can check out the complete tour dates right here.
