Mark Ronson may be riding high on the success of his first Uptown Special single "Uptown Funk" with Bruno Mars, but that's not the only funky fresh offering he has to give before the album arrives next year. Yesterday (Dec. 22), the British songwriter and producer released the latest track off his new album, the sizzling, groovy "Daffodils" featuring Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.

Alongside the steady drumbeats and grooving bass and guitar lines, Parker's voice offers a nice counterbalance with his soft falsetto blending in perfectly to the rest of the instrumentation.

"Daffodils" is a layered track, with subtle sirens and synth beats adding texture and attention to the instrumentation. While the bassline and the guitar are the real stars of this track, the whole package comes together seamlessly, with Parker acting as the musical icing on the cake.

While "Daffodils" is not quite as explosive as "Uptown Funk" or the Mystikal-featuring track "Feel Right," it still fits into the old school soul and disco theme that Ronson is prepping for Uptown Special. This blend of old school R&B and modern grooves helps to make this LP one of the most anticipated records of 2015.

"Daffodils" is just one of three songs that feature Tame Impala's Kevin Parker on Uptown Special. He also appears on "Summer Breaking" and "In Case of Fire."
