After a surprise and rousing performance this weekend on Saturday Night Live alongside Bruno Mars, an official studio recording and lyric video for Mark Ronson and Mystikal's new single "Feel Right" has been released.

Falling in line with the first Uptown Special single "Uptown Funk," "Feel Right" recalls the funkiest days of music, with horns, rousing drums and a grooving guitar melody courtesy of Ronson giving the song some fittingly funk and retro vibes.

Playing against the grooves that Ronson and his backing band are offering, Mystikal's hard and gritty raps are a magnificent contrast. He's mildly more melodic than we've previously heard from him, giving less of a hardcore feeling to his raps and instead making Mystikal feel like a modern day James Brown, if he were just a little more down and dirty.

Lyrically, "Feel Right" is all about getting with some ladies and partying, with plenty of classic inspirations and grooves.

And just for a bit of good measure, Bruno Mars was in the studio with Mystikal and Ronson to act as a hype man of sorts, calling out his collaborators while they "record on another planet."

"Feel Right" is the second song to be released from Mark Ronson's new album Uptown Special, which is due to be released in early 2015. Uptown Special will be Ronson's first LP since his 2010 effort, Record Collection.
