With the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire coming ever nearer, more music from the soundtrack is sure to come. Last week, a snippet of Ellie Goulding's "Mirrors" made its way around the web. Today (Nov. 12), Lorde's track for the movie, a cover of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," debuted on Vulture.

The bombastic '80s classic got a stripped down remake for the upcoming film, courtesy of the queen of the stripped-down melody. Though Lorde's version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" features far less musical backing than then 1985 original, it still has a fuller body than most of the music from Pure Heroine.

A slowed down tempo and rather low vocals from Lorde give this song the kind of creeping, haunting vibe that is a perfect fit for the dark world of The Hunger Games. It's also in this song, with fuller electronic instrumentation and a deeper voice that Lorde's Lana Del Rey influences come through.

In all, it's a perfect fit for the brimming war in Catching Fire, which finds Katniss Everdeen, the Girl on Fire, versus the government of Panem.

"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is just one song from the official soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The LP also features new music from Coldplay, Christina Aguilera, The National and more.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack will be released on Nov. 19, just three days before the film's Nov. 22 release date.
