Probably the last thing Lamb of God wanted to hear about as it works on a new album to be theoretically released during 2015: another lawsuit. As you'll recall, the last time the band ran into legal trouble due to injuries occurring at a performance, a Czech fan died in a stage diving accident and vocalist Randy Blythe spent more than a month in a foreign prison (he was later exonerated). The band isn't actually a defendant this time around but if the courts agree with the plaintiff, the metal band could still find itself in a sticky situation.

William Tarantino is suing Live Nation for injuries he suffered at a Lamb of God show in Connecticut during 2012, according to Loudwire. He alleges that he was in the standing-room-only portion of the concert hall when he got "caught in a mosh" and his spine was fractured. He underwent surgery and claims he still suffers pain from the accident to this day. He's looking to get $75,000.

How does this affect the band if they aren't listed as defendants? This is the second major case resulting from a Lamb of God show in recent years and Live Nation is the largest concert promoter in the world and it'll be tough for a band of Lamb of God's stature to find suitable venues to perform if Live Nation decides its live act is too risky. Everyone knows that moshing comes in tow with such acts, and the notorious "wall of death" concert outro doesn't help the band's case.

However, with everyone understanding the violent nature of L.o.G. shows shows, that might open up a legal window for Live Nation and the band to deny responsibility for injuries resulting at the show. It's Supreme-Court-level stuff, but could the parties involved could make the argument that if you're attending a metal show and standing on the floor, you understand the risk that a mosh could easily break out.

Another question is the statute of limitations...Tarantino's injuries occurred during 2012 and that's also when most of the financial loss he suffered would have taken place as well. Why has he waited so long to file suit? The court could throw out the lawsuit accordingly.
