Sometimes its tough to tell whether a budding pop star will stick around long enough to have the American public care about a second or third album. But Lorde has already entrenched herself in stardom, even without releasing a sophomore record. In fact, she doesn't seem to concerned about its progress.

"I have no timeline," she said at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards (via NME). "I really don't care."

Of course, the New Zealand teenager stayed busy during 2014 by curating the new Hunger Games soundtrack, but everyone has been waiting for the LP follow-up to 2013's Pure Heroine, which featured international superhits "Royals" and "Team."

There's little doubt: Lorde is here to stay, and she knows it (ya ya ya). That's why she could care less about a timeline.

"For me I have to kind of write a project lyrically before I attack it musically," she said. "So I've written a lot of amazing stuff and I'm just tentatively starting to make it music."

She was at the Golden Globes thanks to the success of her Hunger Games cut "Yellow Flicker Beat," which was nominated for Best Original Song.

While she lost out to Common and John Legend's Selma tune "Glory," she still got her name read out loud by Prince.

Since rising to fame, Lorde has buddied up with other female stars (most notably Taylor Swift) in a notably girl-friendly pop landscape over the past year, but she recently sent out a pair of tweets that jokingly claim it's tough to be her friend.
