Gwyneth Paltrow proved she could sing during her stint on Glee and in the film Country Strong. She got back on the mic during her appearance on The Tonight Show alongside Jimmy Fallon, who was "playing" piano. The two teamed up to perform Broadway versions of popular rap songs, including Drake's "Started From The Bottom," Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" and Big Sean's "I Don't F**k With You." Fallon donned a smoking jacket and Paltrow sported a pink jumpsuit.

After their performance, Paltrow sat down with Fallon for a quick interview. He asked her about her musical history, and she explained that she was in an a cappella group high school.

"It was called triple trio," she explained, "There were nine girls. It was like a really cute barbershop quartet but nine. We would sing like the 'Boogie Woogie Bugel Boy' and we would sing the Billy Joel a cappella song, 'Longest Time' -- that was my audition piece for the group -- and songs like that. It was really fun."

She went on to talk about her childhood growing up in New York City and then recalled a time when she and Fallon hid in a shower together for Cameron Diaz's surprise party. She also talk a bit about her new movie Mortdecai, what her co-star Johnny Depp smells like.

Earlier in the show, Black Simon & Garfunkel -- aka Questlove and Kirk Douglas of The Roots -- performed a rendition of Mark Ronson's Bruno Mars-featuring hit "Uptown Funk," which is currently dominating the charts.

Mortdecai is due out in theaters Jan. 23. It follows a charming art dealer, Charlie Mortdecai (Depp), who travels the world to find a stolen painting that is rumored to hold the code to a bank filled with Nazi gold. Paltrow plays his wife, Johanna Mortdecai.
