Naomi Campbell's longstanding presence in the entertainment industry is the kind of career that many dream of but few manage to attain. Even with her history of having a really bad temper, she still works. Campbell started out as a model but she's currently turning heads for her already scene-stealing role on Empire. She also recently signed to do an upcoming biopic based on the life of Richard Pryor. Needless to say, she's feeling pretty fortunate these days.

Campbell recently dropped by The Meredith Viera Show to discuss her life and the topic of the current crop of young models came up. She's not exactly impressed by many of the teens out there that seem to have had a career handed to them.

"It's amazing, I mean good luck to them I just feel my generation of women, like Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Claudia we had to earn our stripes and take our stepping stones to get to where we have gotten to accomplish to what we have achieved to this date. I kind of feel like, 'My God,' it's we've worked so hard and we are still working at it. Then it just comes like that for them but I sometimes believe easy come, easy go. I am actually grateful for the way I had my career I wouldn't want it any other way so that's for them, this is me." explained Campbell.

She actually has a pretty valid point. Back in the late '80s, none of the supermodels had family connections. They all had to hustle on their own not only to get noticed, but to stay relevant. While Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid may be stunning girls, their family ties could have easily helped them to get hired and then rise in the industry faster. What happens when no favors are called in, will they still fight to make it like Campbell and her generation had to? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
