Is there really a chance that Nina Dobrev could be friends with Nikki Reed again? Back when she was dating Ian Somerhalder, Dobrev used to double date with Reed and her then-husband, Paul McDonald. That likely feels like a lifetime ago for Dobrev who has sat back for the last six months, watching as Reed and Somerhalder not only fell in love, but recently confirmed their engagement. It seems that she has held her former friend more responsible for hurting her than she does her ex, but Reed would reportedly like to change that.
According to a report by Hollywood Life, Reed really wants to try and extend an olive branch to Dobrev over dinner. Now that she has snagged a fiance, Reed would love to try and repair her friendship with her former bestie. So far there is absolutely no indication that Dobrev would even consider being friends again. She has put on a happy face and is often seen out with other Hollywood pals, like Julianne Hough, but you know that this whole situation has to make her uncomfortable.
Somerhalder isn't having that same effect on her though. We recently told you about how sources from the set of The Vampire Diaries have said that the former lovebirds still are very hands-on and cozy with each other. From the sounds of it, Dobrev might be more interested in trying to win back her ex more than mending fences with Reed.
