U.K. electronic band Hot Chip have announced their sixth artist album Why Make Sense? The group's first album since 2012's In Our Heads will be released through their home label Domino May 18. The group has shared the album tracklist as well as the "Huarache Lights" video.

The 14-track LP will come together as two separate pieces. It will be the original 10-song album originally designed for the album and then an additional four-track EP that was recorded during the album sessions, via DJ Mag. The deluxe, double-CD and vinyl will include the bonus EP.

As noted by Resident Advisor, the album was produced with Mark Ralph, who has worked with the band in the past as well as other English dance heavyweights like Hot Natured (Lee Foss, Jamie Jones, Luca C, Ali Love and Anabel Englund).

Hot Chip is comprised of Joe Goddard, Alexis Taylor, Felix Martin, Al Doyle and Owen Clarke.

The group will be going on tour in 2015 in support of the album, which includes a stop in New York for Governors Ball, Sónar in Barcelona and BBC Radio 6 Festival.

Pairing with the album announcement, the group has unveiled the video for the first single from the album "Huarache Lights," which happens to be the first track on the LP. Watch the trippy video below.

In addition to sharing Why Makes Sense?'s release date, the group has unveiled the full tracklist for the album. You can check that out with the bonus EP tracks below.
