Apollo Nida has been locked up since September on various fraud charges, and while the RHOA star is looking at eight years behind bars, he still has been making a nice income. He has been getting paid for his appearances on the reality show and he also has been hoping that his fitness brand will prosper, leaving him with a nice financial cushion once he is finally released. Unfortunately, the U.S. government seems to have a different idea for his jailhouse paychecks: restitution.

According to a report by Radar Online, True Entertainment, the company responsible for The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has been ordered to garnish Nida's wages to help pay back the $2 million he owes in restitution.

The court documents state, in part: "You are hereby required to withhold and retain pending further order, any property, funds, accounts, royalties, wages, monies, stock or earnings of the judgment debtor, including but not limited to any new property of which you obtain custody, control, or possession while this Writ is in effect. You are further required by law to answer in writing, under oath, within ten days, after receipt of the Writ, providing the following information: Whether you have any property owned by or due to Apollo Nida, including funds, accounts, monies, stock, earning in your custody, control or possession, a description of the property and the value of the property ... the amount you are holding, owe, or anticipate owing to Apollo Nida."

In other words, they want whatever Nida may have, and since his earning potential behind bars will eventually become severely limited, it is likely he will be broke when finally released.

Nida's wife Phaedra Parks is in the process of divorcing him and we have to wonder if she has even tried to get child support from him. Parks has publicly said that she does not want her sons to grow up thinking that prison is a normal stop in the life of a man and she has yet to let the kids visit Nida in prison.

Do you think she wants even financial help from him in raising the kids? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
