Taylor Swift is known for keeping close tabs on her fans. She regularly communicates with them via social media and even sent some lucky ones personalized gifts for the holidays (or Swiftmas, if you prefer). So it came as no surprise that the queen of break-up songs reached out to a fan who was going through some heartbreak of her own.

Tumblr user nevergooutofstyle posted a message (via EW) to Swift saying, "I hope you see this, but we've been together for 4 months, he just texted me and told me he was done with me. Gave me no reason and kept trying to get me to do irrational things to get him back. Now he's calling me names and I just feel crumbled. I don't know what to do."

Swift, who is basically an expert in the heartbreak department, responded with some encouraging words and sage advice.

"It's so devastating to come to terms with speaking of someone in the past tense when you see them as your present and your future. But think about what he said. It will take a while for you to get those words out of your head," she said. "Heartbreak is awful enough. The fact that you have to endure this kind of emotional abuse is so wrong. I know it's hard but I think it's time to utilize the 'block' feature on your phone. This is just damaging. So don't give him the chance to say more damaging things. There is nothing wrong with avoiding people who hurt you. You fell in love, no games. Now you're saying goodbye with no games. Protect yourself, please. I'm so sorry this happened."

On top of her advice, the "Shake It Off" songstress made a playlist of songs to help her beloved fan get over this heartbreaking situation.

"I made you a break up/moving on playlist," Swift wrote before listing her six-song heartbreak prescription, which included "Stay Away" by Charli XCX, "Not Around" by Montgomery, "Wings" by HAERTS, "Coffins" by MisterWives, "Sleep" by Azure Ray, and "Begin Again" by Measure.
