Cash Money is going to be bleeding cash if it can't get its legal affairs in order as rapper Turk has jumped on the trend of suing the hip-hop label. Lil Wayne is suing Birdman and Cash Money for $51 million while seeking a release from the label, while Turk is suing for "only" $1.3 million, alleging "shady accounting."

Turk was most famous as a member of Hot Boys, one of Cash Money's best products in the late '90s and the group where Lil Wayne built his name as a high schooler (Juvenile and B.G. were the other members). The last album the Hot Boys released was 2003's Let 'Em Burn, immediately after which Turk left for Laboratory Recordz, where he released Raw & Uncut. He now claims, according to Hot New Hip-Hop, that Cash Money didn't disclose its earnings and accused it of withholding his proper royalty payouts. Based on the relatively modest damages he's seeking, it seems like a legitimate complaint. The label now has three weeks to respond to the charges.

Turk hasn't released a full length record since 2005's Convicted Felons, although he has released three mixtapes since 2013.

This is just another thorn in the side of Cash Money, which has become a rather messy situation on the whole. Wayne is obviously looking to get away and he's looking to take his Young Money roster with him. It's been suggested that Drake's recent If You're Reading This It's Too Late was pushed quickly to get him out of Cash Money, and Nicki Minaj has suggested she's down with Weezy still as well.

Tyga, not as tight with that trio but still signed to Young Money, seems the most desperate to get away. He told Hot 97 during an interview that he was willing to buy his own way out of Cash Money. Not sue his way out...actually buy his way out. Things clearly aren't the best when rappers are willing to pay to leave.
