One of Japan's two major rock festivals, Fuji Rock Festival, has announced its 2015 lineup. Entering its 19th year, the festival will be headlined by superstar international acts Foo Fighters, Motörhead, Muse and Ryan Adams.

Taking place on the picturesque Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture, there will be more than 200 artists performing. Some of the other acts on the bill include Johnny Marr, Happy Mondays, Jenny Lewis, Of Monsters and Men, Galactic, The Bohicas, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Districts, twenty one pilots and others. There will also be a strong contingent of Japanese bands on the mountain, representing local music well.

There is even a small group of electronic music acts, similar to other festivals like Lollapalooza, that started out as pure rock fests but then adapted to current pop tastes with the additions of Galantis, Hudson Mohawke and FKA twigs on the bill.

The festival will run from July 24 to 26 and, according to a Billboard estimate, ticket sales raked in 1.91 billion yen -- $18.6 million -- of revenue over the three days, making it one of the highest-grossing, single-venue festivals in Japan.

Some 102,000 festival-goers attended in 2014.

The events do not occur on Mount Fuji but rather in a ski resort nearby, which can bring about some rainy conditions, but the stunning panoramic views make the occasional soggy conditions worth it.

Tickets are available now for purchase with options for single-day and three-day passes. Attendees also have the option to camp or lodge on the mountain or buy a parking pass to park in the ski resort each day. Head to Fuji Rock Festival's website for more information on the lineup and tickets.
