With the Snowmageddon 2015 all bluster and hype (unless you live in Boston), summer feels like it's practically around the corner. If you haven't spent all of your festival money so far, another outdoor massive is looking for your time and money this summer. Louisville, Kentucky based festival, Forecastle, has released the first wave of artists who will be performing this summer. Louisville's own My Morning Jacket, in addition to Modest Mouse, Sam Smith and Widespread Panic, will headline the Kentucky festival.

The festival stays true to its roots of rock and indie, but also provides some variation with selections like RL Grime, Big K.R.I.T. and Kiesza. The real focus is on rock and indie though, with a well balanced selection of artists like Diarrhea Planet, Portugal. The Man, Cade The Elephant, Tweedy, Houndmouth and others.

There are more artists that will be announced soon. GA and VIP tickets go on sale this Friday, Jan. 30 at 12 p.m. EST. The festival takes place June 17-19.

In addition to the quality music, Forecastle offers a Bourbon Lodge, regional craft beers, craft vendors and local food trucks.
