Bill Cosby must miss the days when his career was all that anyone talked about when his name was mentioned. Instead, he had muddled through four months of allegations by numerous women as his gigs disappeared and long time friends have failed to defend him. Cosby keeps insisting in statements that he's "not finished yet" but the direction that his career is heading in seems to paint a distinctly different picture. This week brought a new woman out of the woodwork as Cosby's attorney worked hard to get a defamation suit against him dropped.

Three women (Tamara Green, Therese Serignese and Linda Traitz) that have accused the legendary comedian of sexual assault filed a defamation suit when Cosby denied their claims and his attorney, Martin Singer, was in a Boston court on Friday fighting to have the suit dropped. According to a report by Page Six, Singer explained, "The law does not require that one stand idly by while he is publicly attacked. Instead, the law entitles an individual who is accused of serious wrongdoing to rebut the allegations without facing defamation claims. Mr. Cosby denies each and every one of the allegations of sexual misconduct leveled at him," and argued the trio's suit is "a misuse of the law of defamation to attempt an end run around the relevant statutes of limitations for the alleged assaults."

The women involved in the case have until March 20 to respond to Singer's request to drop the suit. In the midst of all of the chaos, Cosby did what has now become a pattern. He issues the exact same statement thanking people for their support while anticipating his next scheduled concert appearance. He seems to be the only one not noticing the fact that when he doesn't cancel a show (which is rare), he's now playing to half filled venues and dealing with protesters nearby.

Is there any way at all that his career will somehow rebound and survive all of these devastating allegations? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
