We have to wonder if everyone at E! is regretting deciding to keep Fashion Police on the air after Joan Rivers's death in September. The show was a clear-cut success and the ratings were great last summer, as Rivers managed to take a floundering show about critiquing fashion and turn it into a hit. Even if people did not care about the red carpet, they would tune it to hear Rivers in action. While it was a nice idea to keep the show going in the iconic comedienne's memory, it is clearly not working. Not only is Fashion Police falling apart and sinking in the ratings, but the battleground that had been kept behind closed doors has now tumbled out into the press as well.

Kathy Griffin was brought in to replace Rivers, who, let's face it, is irreplaceable. After insulting Zendaya Coleman on Oscar night and then apologizing profusely, Giuliania Rancic is still in the loop, but that does not mean anyone wants her to be. As everyone now knows, Kelly Osbourne quit in the midst of all the fallout because she simply did not want to be affiliated with the show without Rivers at the helm.

Now there is talk about either bringing in Khloé Kardashian or NeNe Leakes to replace Osbourne, but the ship seems to have already half sunk. According to a report by Page Six, Griffin is complaining because she is not making the kind of money Rivers did and she would not mind if Melissa Rivers, who is one of the show's producers, was given her walking papers.

It is hard to imagine how this show could quickly turn everything around in time to save itself, isn't it? This time last year, being offered a contract with Fashion Police might have been a great gig for either Kardashian or Leakes, but now, not so much. It seems that if these ladies are smart, then taking Osbourne's seat might be an opportunity they will pass up, right?
