Having already released a Major Lazer song with DJ Snake and  titled "Lean on Me" today, March 2, Diplo decided it was time to upload an alternative version of his November 2014 collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign: "Stand For."

Co-produced with DJ Dahi, the new demo is similar to the version that ended up getting released with Ty Dolla $ign -- real name Tyrone Griffin -- providing his familiar vocals, but the drums are switched up a little and a horn is added.

"Love this song I did with ty so much .. I thought I'd share this alternate version I had," said Diplo about the upload on SoundCloud.

Ty Dolla $ign is coming off the star-studded release of his new single "Drop That Kitty" featuring the vocals of Charli XCX and Tinashe. His debut album Free TC is expected out at some point this spring, though further details have not been revealed.

Griffin desribed the inspiration for the album in an interview with Rap-Up:

"It's for a purpose," he said. "He's locked up for something that he didn't do. It's many people out here that get injustice, as you've seen Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, everything that's happening on the news right now. It has a purpose. It's gonna be the biggest album of 2015."

Diplo has had a very busy last few days. Today he released the new Major Lazer single "Lean On" that will presumably be on the upcoming Major Lazer album, set to arrive in April. Over the weekend, he released a surprise Jack Ü album while he and Skrillex were hosting a "24 Hours of Jack Ü" party in Los Angeles, which got shut down after 18 hours by the cops.
