2 Chainz is one of the most famous advocates of marijuana legalization in the United States, as evidenced by his debate with Nancy Grace last month on her HLN Network program.
Though 2 Chainz acquitted himself really well in that debate, he's found himself in a harder-to-defend spot as he smoked a 24-karat joint on the GQ webseries Most Expensivest Sh*t.
It wasn't enough for the rolling papers to cost an arm and a leg, celebrity medical cannabis consultant Dr. Dina pulls out marijuana that costs about $800 an ounce.
"This sh*t is like them Lays potato chips," said 2 Chainz when one of the $100 cans of pot was opened. "You open up them sh*ts and there's only four on the inside." I hate when that happens to me with those fun-sized bag of chips, too, 2 Chainz.
After the two smoke the marijuana out of a pipe as big as their heads, the two smoke the gold-laced joint.
"This is like the caviar of joints, you know what I'm saying?" says 2 Chainz after smoking.
Rolling Stone reached out to Nancy Grace and got her candid reaction to the video of 2 Chainz smoking the golden joint.
"$800 for an ounce of Loud? Really? That alone should be a felony — the 24-carat gold paper is definitely an aggravating circumstance!" Grace said to Rolling Stone.
"The caviar of joints? For someone as smart and educated as 2 Chainz, this video is even more ironic. 2 Chainz won't allow his children to have caffeine: not even a soda. (P.S., I don't either.) Wait until his children spot this video on the Internet. Explain that, Daddy!"
2 Chainz was recently featured on the latest Gucci Mane EP Views From Zone 6. Last month, he considered running for mayor in his hometown of College Park, Ga.
