The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice has spent the last two months locked up in a Danbury, Connecticut, prison, and up until now there was no solid indication of how she is doing. Last night, March 8, Giudice's sister-in-law Melissa Gorga popped up for an interview on Bravo's Watch What Happens: Live, and while she did not offer up many details, she said enough to clue us in on how the family is coping. She said Joe Giudice is "manning up" and handling his family alone.

According to Gorga, Giudice is staying strong in prison, which is good since she will be there until next spring. It sounded like the two have not been in real, direct contact, which is not too surprising. Fans of RHONJ know that Giudice has, on several occasions tried to set up Gorga in the hopes that everyone would treat her like an outcast. While it never fully worked, Bravo did get a few seasons of mileage out of the drama.

Before Giudice went away, her husband Joe Giudice was hardly father of the year. He admitted to leaving all the parenting duties to his wife, so now that he has had to step up, everyone has expected him to fail. Instead, Gorga insisted Joe is really "manning up" and doing whatever he needs to in order to take care of his four daughters while his wife is in prison. Gorga told about passing Joe every day during the morning drop-off at school and how it is always a bit sad because it used to be Teresa whom she would see.

Perhaps the biggest question for Gorga will remain unanswered for a while longer. There have been reports that her time on the reality show might be over because without Giudice there she does not have much of a storyline.
