Rihanna is about to make history with her fashion choices. Though the "FourFiveSeconds" singer is already style icon for her sometimes scandalous, sometimes outrageous and always stunning fashion choices, today (March 13), it was announced that Rihanna is breaking through the race barrier to become the first black spokesmodel for Dior.

The pop superstar is slated to star in the fashion house's next "Secret Garden" short film, according to Vogue. The fourth installment of the video series will be shot by regarded photographer Steven Kline, and like the past "Secret Garden" movies, it will feature Rihanna running through the halls of Versailles in a lush Dior ballgown.

So, yeah, it's going to be pretty gorgeous.

Rihanna's gig in the "Secret Garden IV" short film will be accompanied by a print shoot, which will also be shot by Steven Klein.

Rihanna's new position as a model for Dior not only puts her in the same ranks as Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cotillard, it also means that she's the first black model for the brand, a groundbreaking move for the fashion industry.

And Rihanna's new appointment as a model for should come as no surprise. Not only is the pop star a frequent guest at Dior's fashion shows, she is also becoming a huge name in the fashion industry. In December, Rihanna was named as a creative director at Puma. She was also deemed as Fashion Icon at 2014's CFDA Fashion Awards.

With the addition of the Dior gig, 2015 is shaping up to be a busy year for Rihanna. She's also rumored to be releasing her eighth studio album this year and will begin filming a documentary.
