Blink-182's former vocalist and guitarist, Tom DeLonge, through a series of tweets, revealed a long list of ambitious plans that caused him to leave Blink-182 one month ago. Blink-182 was going to reunite and create a follow-up to their 2011 album, Neighborhoods, but DeLonge left because he had contracts to complete personal projects and other obligations to his other band Angels & Airwaves.

About a month ago, the guitarist explained why he left the band. "All of these other projects are being worked, exist in contract form - I can't just slam the brakes and drop years of development, partnerships and commitments at the snap of a finger," DeLonge explained in on a long public statement, "I told my manager that I will do Blink-182 as long as it was fun and worked with the other commitments in my life, including my family."

Now, on Twitter, the former Blink-182 band member has shed some light on what he's been working on. DeLonge is "putting out 4 albums" this year. He later clarified further and said that two of the albums would be with his band Angels & Airwaves, but the other two would be his own solo projects with an added twist. The guitarist bragged about one of the songs off his new albums.

"One of the reasons all this Blink stuff went haywire was because I am in 6 contracts with Best Selling Authors that are co-writing 15 Novels with me personally. Each one has an EP soundtrack that launches with it," DeLonge explained on Instagram. "I told my manager the contract that was sent to me for the Blink deal contained weird new language that I had to drop all that music for almost a year. I said I couldn't, but I could record the album in and around those things that were already in the works."

DeLonge didn't reveal who the "best-selling authors were," but three of the novels will be released with three of the albums this year. This is an ambitious venture, but does the phrase "quantity over quality" apply here? Musicians work on albums for years, so to have that many come out might be a bad decisions. Although most fans would say, DeLonge's choice to not come back to Blink-182 would be a bad decision. The band probably can't regain the popularity and hype they had when Enema of the State was released in 1999 with songs "What's My Age Again?" and "All The Small Things," but there still are diehard fans that follow the members of the band closely.

Blink-182 band members Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus have decided to continue their Blink-182 tour without DeLonge. DeLonge has been replaced by Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba.

What do you think about DeLonge's projects?
