Wale just dropped his highly anticipated The Album About Nothing and he's also released a video for "The White Shoes."

In the visual, Wale, a known sneakerhead, narrates the story of a young man longing for a pair of new Jordans to help his status symbol. As noted by XXL, the "Bad" rapper cleverly weaves a joke from Jerry Seinfeld into the video, putting a different spin on the comedian's words.

The purchase of the sneakers leads to a tragic end -- a reality that has become all too common.

Just last month, a Clark Atlanta University student named James Jones made headlines after attempting to buy an iPhone he saw advertised on Craigslist. According to the AJC, Jones was met by three men who shot him twice, robbed him of his Nike tennis shoes and left him to die in the front seat of his car. The men were identified and arrested less than 24 hours later.

"The White Shoes" is the second TAAN cut to get video treatment. Wale released a visual for "The Body" featuring Jeremih three months ago.

The album also features guest spots by J. Cole, SZA and Usher, as well as excerpts from Seinfeld and pieces of conversations between Wale and the comedian.

Wale discussed the album with the Breakfast Club back in September.

"I'm kind of letting my core fans A&R the project," Wale explained. "I'm zeroing in on things that made them grow to love me early in my career like when I was doing The Mixtape About Nothing and More About Nothing. I'm trying to focus on those things sonically. I'm not running away from those things no more. I'm a little bit more brave now as far as my music selection on this project."
