Originally previewed Monday, March, 30, Brooklyn-based trap producer Baauer, New Jersey up-and-coming rapper Fetty Wap -- real name Willie Maxwell -- and another Brooklyn producer Dubbel Dutch's collaboration "Promises" has been released as a free download. The track was put together as a part of Adidas's Songs from Scratch series, joining other collaborations between hot rising stars like Chet Faker and Goldlink, Joey Bada$$ and Chuck Strangers, Jacques Greene and Tinashe, Jeremih and Shlohmo and others.

The track fits the talents of each artist impeccably. Dubbel Dutch was called upon the provide the melody that is so crucial to a Fetty Wap track and the catchy hooks that have quickly become a calling card of his. Dubbel Dutch's heavily reverbed, spacey plucks provide the base for the track that Wap worked his hook over. In the preview video released Monday, the artists show how the track came together abnd we see the "Trap Queen" rapper write the hook in a matter of minutes.

He described his selectivity with what beats he is willing to write over: "If I don't like it, it ain't gon' like me," though Maxwell admitted, "I never thought I was gonna be no singer."

Baauer takes care of the rest with the instrumental, adding some powerful drums and a horn sample, which gives the track hip-hop toughness for Wap's verses to flow over.

Maxwell raps about his promise to bring his team up with him to the top and making sure to take care of those who have been good to him.
