Most people look at April 1 with dread as every news item, story or notice from a friend, loved one or outlet must be treated with a high degree of skepticism (even us). Tyga is probably wishing April Fools' Day had never happened either after he had an unpleasant and very public experience today at the launch of his new sneaker line in Los Angeles. Someone who he thought was a fan waited in line for over two hours with two pairs of freshly minted sneakers and came up to Tyga's signing table to get the boxes autographed, when he pulled out a sheet of paper from his pocket to notify the "Ayo" rapper that he had been served.

The slick move was caught on camera, of course, and even less surprising was that TMZ was on the scene that caught up with the process server who goes by the name Cal. According to Cal, Tyga owes someone money, but he would not divulge any further details on the situation.

Tyga partnered with sneaker company Shiekh Shoes to create his own line of all gold Liquid Gold L.A. Lights sneaker with LA Gear, which attracted a mob of people to the launch.

He spoke to Hip-Hop Wired about his new line of sneakers and why he decided on his new business partners.

"I've always been into gold since I was younger and when you look at gold, it's like the sun, you know what I mean?" he said. "It just have a lot of self-empowerment to the color and that's what it represents to me. This is the first launch of shoes I have coming with L.A. Gear. I actually have a running shoe coming out as well. I just wanted people to focus on me being a part of the brand and then we'll launch into other stuff."
