After they closed out Ultra Music Festival last weekend, Justin Bieber, Skrillex and Diplo stayed in Miami a little while longer to do some promo for their record together "Where Are Ü Now." The trio went on the air with Miami radio station Power 96 to discuss the track that has been the first big hit from Jack Ü's recent album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü, an upcoming collaboration that will appear on Bieber's album and how each of them operate as artists individually and together, notably as Jack Ü.

The conversation starts with Diplo and Skrillex who admit that doing these radio promo runs are a bit foreign to them as artists who have grown out of the internet and live on there. They explain that their collaborative process is very organic, whether it is meeting people at parties or DMing them online, they only work with people they are a fan of and want to hang out with. This philosophy has put Diplo and Skrillex in the room with the likes of Madonna, A$AP Rocky, The Doors, Usher, 2 Chainz and of course Justin Bieber.

Diplo explained how "Where Are Ü Now" came to be and it was actually a Bieber record originally that Skrillex and Diplo reworked to sound like one of theirs.

"It was a really strong record that Justin wrote, it was like a ballad. I said,' Yo Sonny, man, listen to this record. We could f*ck this record up, this is crazy.'"

Skrillex was posed the question about being hesitant to work with Bieber and what that might do to his image and he remarked he never thought twice about working with the Canadian superstar.

"I think he is one of the most talented musicians and singers around," said Skrillex. Diplo added, "I don't think another artist will be as iconic for a long time."

Bieber tossed the compliment right back at them in the little bromance session, saying, "These guys are changing the game right now. They're doing something that has never been done."

When asked about his first Ultra experience, Bieber remarked that he could envision himself doing some more upbeat records and revealed that he was working on a follow up collab for his upcoming album.

"Yeah I think me and these guys are going to collaborate on my next record and do something special." Check out the full interview below.
