It seems as though the beef between Lil Wayne and Cash Money may be coming to a close. New reports are suggesting that the "Start a Fire" rapper has dropped his $51 million lawsuit against his former mentor Birdman and his label.

The Jasmine Brand reported yesterday (April 6) that Wayne had filed a motion to drop his notorious $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money, doing so "without prejudice," meaning that the lawsuit could be open to being re-filed at any time.

However, Wayne's dropped lawsuit is still just a rumor at this time, with neither the rapper's camp nor Cash Money confirming that the tiff is over. Additionally, Karen Civil has reported that the lawsuit has not been dropped, but instead will be re-filed in New Orleans, though that news is also unconfirmed.

The lawsuit, which seems to be developing more and more every week, stems from Wayne's frustrations with his longtime label Cash Money and his long-delayed and anticipated album Tha Carter V. Initially, Wayne was suing the label to be released from his contract and for back payment and royalties on his recent albums, including the yet-to-be released Tha Carter V.

Wayne claimed that Cash Money had neither paid him nor his company Young Money its rights in royalties and advances, coming to the tune of $51 million. The drama has since continued, with Wayne recently decrying Cash Money on stage, dropping the microphone and screaming "Free Weezy Album coming soon. Carter V coming soon. F*ck Cash Money!" during a performance.
