This January, Swedish singer Lykke Li took a quick performing hiatus, but just a few months later that has come to an end. The indie pop-rock act has released a video for her deeply emotional song "Never Gonna Love Again."

Although the album debuted last year, Lykke Li is still celebrating by releasing a new music video. Directed by Philippe Tempelman, as Pitchfork noted, the video depicts an ominous Li in the back of a car before a series of unfortunate events follow her through a dark night.

"Loneliness and heartbreak follow you everywhere and they are loudest right after the lights go out and the crowds quiet," Li told Rolling Stone. "Here's an intimate glimpse of how it can be to live your dream whilst stuck in your dream. In the lonely wolf hour, the night becomes your stage, the stars your audience, the rain your memories."

In May of last year, Lykke Li released I Never Learn and toured with fellow Swedish singer Mapei in North America.

"It is insanely symbolic to me as she's been my idol ever since I saw her the first time when I was 17," said Li.

Important and emotional hiatus news was posted to Instagram, stating that it was necessary to focus on her own health in order to perform at her best potential:

"I am utterly devastated, sometimes we push and push but the body simply won't follow. I gave it all i had, my body, heart and soul. After 7 years of touring my health is screaming/begging for me to listen/heal/slow down. Thank you so much for understanding. Thank you for listening to my bleeding heart and watching me dance in the dark these past years."

This month, she will head back onstage for her first performance since the hiatus at Coachella. I Never Learn was recorded with Atlantic Records and is curently available for purchase.
