You can never go too long without Morrissey criticizing someone or something. This time around, Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis is the target of the former Smiths frontman. The singer recently posted a lengthy essay titled "Glastonbury Is Not Animal Friendly" to his fansite True to You. He used the opportunity to rail against Eavis for killing cows.

According to Billboard, Moz is trying to protect the cows of Glastonbury since Eavis is a dairy farmer.

"I assume that the dairy cows at Glastonbury who no longer yield milk are brought into the home of Michael Eavis and allowed to sit down and watch Emmerdale until they gently pass away in their later years, because, after all, Michael insists that Glastonbury cows are 'very happy,'" the singer wrote.

"In truth, of course, as soon as a cow is a substandard producer of milk, she and her friends are sent off to have their throats slit," he added. "We can easily imagine Michael Eavis waving the cattle truck off, and we can see his cows being 'very happy' about that, and waving back to Michael."

Moz went on to accuse Eavis of tampering with some visuals during his performance at the 2011 Glastonbury event. The singer went into "Meat Is Murder" from 1985, and it is usually accompanied by screens that show the "evils of factory farming." Instead, the screens remained blank. Morrissey claims that Eavis did not allow the videos to be shown because they were "indicative of how his dairy farm operated."

Eavis has not responded to the essay.

This year's Glastonbury festival will feature headlining sets by the Foo Fighters and Kanye West. Lionel Richie will perform at the event, which takes place June 24 to 28.
