After five long years, The Chemical Brothers are back with a new single and, more importantly, a new album. The duo of Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands have been instrumental in pioneering big beat electronic music and bringing it to pop, notably in the UK with five number one albums. Following up their 2010 LP, Further, the pair breaks up the longest spell of their career without releasing a studio album with Born In The Echoes. The LP will feature the likes of St. Vincent, Beck and Q-Tip. To go with the album announcement, they have released the lead single from the LP titled "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted."

The pair have strayed somewhat from The Chemical Brothers sound in recent years, moving towards scoring films and other creative projects. The new tune jolts fans right back into the grit and glory that made The Chemical Brothers so loved over the years. The accompanying video fits the rave feeling of the track, with a kaleidoscope-like visualizer that will suck you in if you stare too long. Watch the clip below via Thump.

The video was directed by Adam Smith, who did their 2012 tour film Don't Think.

The Chemical Brothers will be heading out on tour this summer for a few select dates at festivals like Ultra Europe and Bestival in the UK, but Ed Simon won't be along. He recently announced that he was not going to be involved in the group's live show, but was still producing with Rowlands.
