D'Angelo and his band The Vanguard have flirted with our emotions since releasing last year's hit Black Messiah but now the performer has finally locked down an American leg of the "Second Coming" tour. The performer will play 14 dates including a stop at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee (from Rolling Stone).

Earlier this year the band made a few stops around the country in promotion of the album—including New York City dates at The Apollo Theater and the Best Buy Theater downtown, plus a stop at South by Southwest—but then D'Angelo brought the group to Europe for a tour, making us feel a tad hurt that the folks across the pond got to experience Black Messiah live before those of us in the performer's homeland.

It's interesting to see that D'Angelo will be coming back to New York this summer, although he won't be playing Manhattan as he did the previous two times he played in the city, nor will he be heading to the more popular borough of Brooklyn. Instead, he'll take his act to Queens and Forest Hills Stadium.

Hopefully the fans among our readership will live near enough to one of the following cities to justify the trip:

06/07: Oakland @ Fox Theater

06/08: Los Angeles @ Club Nokia

06/10: Denver @ Ogden Theater
