Miranda Lambert is helping the cause of women in country music with the lineup for her forthcoming "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" tour, which will include openers Ashley Monroe, RaeLynn, Clare Dunn and Courtney Cole (from Rolling Stone).

Monroe has been a longtime pal of Lambert's, and is also a member of the Pistol Annies country collective alongside the tour's headliner. Both RaeLynn and Cole come from television contest backgrounds: The former was a contestant on the second season of The Voice (where Lambert's husband Blake Shelton is a coach) and was also the opener on Lambert's "Certified Platinum" tour. Cole is a relative newcomer, having competed in a recent run of Country Music Television's Next Superstar series. Dunn is a rising star on the country scene who, despite having not yet released an album, has opened for Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line in concert.

This isn't the first time Lambert has carried out a "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" tour, although it will be the first to stick to an all-female lineup. The previous rendition of the tour, carried out during 2009, featured an all-male lineup, including soon-to-be superstars such as Luke Bryan and Eric Church.

The new "Roadside Bars" tour is set to kick off during September in Missoula, MT but not all the details have been released yet. You can check out venue information as it becomes available here.

If anyone stands out as a likely candidate to boost the image of women in an industry that all-too-often gives more credence to male costars, it's Lambert. After all, she's won six consecutive Female Vocalist of The Year trophies at the Academy of Country Music Awards (without ever once winning Entertainer of The Year, mind you).
