For reasons that aren't immediately clear, last night on The Tonight Show, Jack Black and Jimmy Fallon decided to do a shot-for-shot remake of the 1991 Extreme music video for "More Than Words." Donning long black wigs, black nail polish and yearning looks on their faces, the comedians produced a remake of a hair metal relic that's way funnier than maybe it should have.

Black and Fallon nailed "More Than Words" down to the last detail, from the looks to the right between the first chorus and second verse to the hand motions and glances to the camera. Fallon even flips his hair in the exact same manner as Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt. It's all fairly brilliant and way more hilarious than it should have been, likely a result of the general absurdity of the hair metal genre and its sincere ballads.
