Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott recently celebrated their ninth anniversary and it was a milestone that many believed would never happen. While McDermott has admitted to cheating on his wife nearly two years ago, she then went ahead and decided to exploit the situation via a reality show called True Tori that dealt primarily with his infidelity. For two seasons fans watched as Spelling had emotional breakdowns in front of her four kids and vilified McDermott every chance that she got. Somehow, the couple has stuck together and now insists that they are back on solid footing but reality television is apparently still a fighting point for them.

Supposedly Spelling really wants to do another season of True Tori but McDermott said months ago that he is finished with the project and exploiting the bad parts of their life together. It seems that is he isn't onboard then the network won't give Spelling another season on her own.

According to a report by Radar Online: "Lifetime is refusing to do the show unless Dean participates, as it won't be worth it to only features Tori. But Dean doesn't want anything to do with the show because he got such grief from Tori's fans and the public after the last one. Tori has tried everything to try and persuade Dean not to do it, including giving him editorial control, but he isn't budging," explains a source.

It sounds like McDermott might value the marriage a bit more than his wife and at least he has the clarity to understand that reality television might have provided them with a paycheck, but little else good has come of it. The ratings were pretty awful for True Tori even with the inevitable drama between the couple so how bad might they be if the project continued without him? Are you surprised that the network is ready to cancel the show completely? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
