Rumors of a remix to "Wu-Tang Forever" first hit the Web back in 2013 and fans have been anticipating its release ever since. Unfortunately, it seems like it'll be a while before it drops. Drake recently said the song and accompanying video were never finished.

During a recent trip to New York City, a writer from Vulture asked Drizzy about the failed remix. He said varying schedules was one of the things that held up the process.

"Wu-Tang Forever" is an interesting song choice. What happened to the video for the remix from last year?

Oh, man, that's kind of behind us. That was two projects ago. There was a remix that 40 [Noah Shebib] was working on. He has a really personal relationship with a lot of those guys from Wu-Tang, and me and Rocky were working on a video at one point in Harlem, and it was cool, but with schedules and all that, different things came into play and we never really got to finish, which is not something I recommend. You should always try and finish your music video.

Last October, members of the Wu said the song didn't work out for a number of reasons, including clashing subject matter.

"I guess we kind of came too hard for him," U-God said. "He wanted us to talk about broads, but at that time, we wasn't in a broad mode. We was hard body at the time. Later on I was like, 'What the hell was I rhyming about?' Damn, I was rhyming about some hardcore sh*t and he wanted me to talk about some b*tches.

"We got the track last minute. I was like, 'Damn!' We had to write it real fast. No lie, I probably had about six hours to write this thing. At the time, I wasn't feeling woman-y - I was feeling hard as nails. So, I wrote him a hard-as-nail rhyme, and he was talking about something totally different, so the subject matter didn't really mesh."

No word on when, or if, the song will ever be released. Any thoughts? Share with us in the comment section below.
