In 2002, Jennifer Lopez claimed not to be fooled by the rocks that she's got, and that she's still little ol' Jenny from the Block (the Bronx). It's been 12 years since that smash hit took over the radio, but it seems like Lopez is still set on making that point in her new music video for "Same Girl."
The video finds Lopez back in her hometown of Bronx, New York, and the multi-platinum recording artist (who doesn't even fly commercial, according to American Idol) keeping it real in her hometown.
Just like from her debut album all the way back in 1999 On The 6, Lopez rides the subway around New York, mingling with the everyday people. The Idol judge takes snapshots with fans, wanders the streets and a few passerbys even shout "Hey! Jenny from the block!" at her. It's important for Lopez to remind fans she still real, and she does so here, more or less successfully.
