After being leaked a little over a week ago, legendary Italian disco and electronic producer Giorgio Moroder has released the official copies of his collaborations with Charli XCX and Mikky Ekko titled "Diamonds" and "Don't let Go." The tracks are taken from the Daft Punk collaborator's upcoming artist album Déjà Vu, which is slated for release on June 16.

The two tracks take very different in their approach. "Diamonds" is a much grittier track with an overload of distorted bass that only someone with the punk voice of Charli XCX could jive with. The production can be a bit overdone at times, but the combination doesn't sound forced. Stream "Diamonds" below.

XCX spoke to Rolling Stone about the opportunity to work with someone with experience of Moroder. Apparently this was old track she had written in Sweden several years ago, but never found a place for it.

"It's something that's been around for a while, and I sent it over and he felt it," she said. "It was something I had worked on for my first record but couldn't get quite right."

"Don't Let Go" has clear influences from modern electronic music, but still has the strings, reverbed bass line and synths found in the classic productions from some of his older tracks. It is an attempt by Moroder to bridge the gap between his older tracks and the new EDM era, which is the theme of this album as the Italian producer looks the take his place in the modern electronic music era.

Déjà Vu will be released on June 16. It features collaborations with the likes of Sia, Britney Spears, Matthew Koma, Kelis and more. He has already released the music video for his collaboration with Kylie Minogue titled "Right Here, Right Now." You can pre-order the album now on iTunes.
