Big things popping for K-Pop fans as CL, a member of the pop group 2NE1, has released the first track from her English-language solo career, featuring production from Diplo and guest verses from OG Maco and RiFF RAFF. The track, titled "Doctor Pepper," is about as crazy as you might expect from such a crew.

Those who haven't checked out CL (Lee Chae-rin) recently might be surprised by the content featured on "Doctor Pepper." CL, somewhat the female counterpart to fellow K-Pop star G-Dragon in her desire to break away from the family-friendly pop aesthetic, doesn't hold back during the hook: "Chillin' in the freezer when I'm under pressure / I put it on ice b*tch, I'm Doctor Pepper."

The artwork for the single is about what you'd expect from a project that's handled by a) a K-Pop star and b) Diplo's Mad Decent label. Although the star is front-and-center, the colorful eight-bit bubble animation in the background, toxic-slime typography and censored turquoise Pikachus (she's fairly popular in Japan as well as South Korea) grab attention as well.

The new track comes amid a flurry of activity for the performer this week, as she also opened up her own solo Facebook account.

It shouldn't be too surprising that she opted for Diplo for production here. The Los Angeles-based DJ is, of course, friends with Skrillex, and the latter dubstep performer featured both CL and G-Dragon on the track "Dirty Vibe" from his debut full-length Recess, a single that also featured contributions from Diplo. It's about who you know in the industry.

No album plans have been released as of yet but one seems likely. 2NE1 released its second album, Crush, during 2014. Considering that the group took four years to produce the sequel to debut To Anyone, don't be surprised if it affords CL and its other members plenty of time to pursue solo careers before it looks to work on chapter three.
