It seems as though another member of One Direction is going solo... at least for a little bit of karaoke. This week, 1D crooner Liam Payne is spending time vacationing in the South of France with his girlfriend Sophia Smith. But, he still took a little time out to sing a cover of Oasis' signature 1995 hit "Wonderwall."

In a 15-second video captured by a fan, Payne can be seen singing along to a sped up, acoustic version of "Wonderwall." The boy band member is surrounded by people and holding his cellphone in one hand, but he looks to be having a great time.

And, of course, all those years in One Direction means that he pulls off the vocal of the tender love song flawlessly.

Payne's choice of karaoke should come as no huge surprise to fans of One Direction. In a recent interview about the band's forthcoming fifth studio album (its first without founding member Zayn Malik, who left 1D earlier this year), Payne revealed that Oasis was a big sonic influence on One Direction for its FOUR follow-up.

"The album's coming together really well actually. The boys we've been writing with have come up with some great, great songs that are kind of like a bit Oasis-y almost which is ace," he said. "I love that."

Payne also mentioned the likes of Ed Sheeran as a musical influence on the new album. Though concrete details surrounding One Direction's new studio effort remain scarce, it's due out by the end of the year.
