Last month, Bay Area songstress Kehlani released her You Should Be Here album featuring BJ The Chicago Kid and Chance The Rapper. More recently, she announced the stops for her upcoming supporting tour.

A little over a year ago, Kehlani began gaining traction following the release of her Cloud 19 mixtape with Complex listing the project as No. 28 on its "50 Best Albums of 2014" list.

During a recent interview with FADER, Kehlani opened up about her style of music and how it fits in with the current trends of the industry.

"There's nobody doing what I'm doing," she said. "Yeah, there's R&B singer girls, but they're not making sh*t that's quality. Everybody wants to get on the radio, everybody wants this poppin' single, everybody wants to get drunk in the club. Nobody's making anything that's quality, that actually has something to say. My lane is wide the f*ck open, I'm going to take full force."

Along with special guest Pell, Kehlani's You Should Be Here tour kicks off on July 7 in Chicago at Lincoln Hall. She will also make stops in Atlanta, New York and Seattle.
