Kim Richards may have decided to check herself back into a rehab facility last Monday but it sounds like her most recent antics have been a reality check for long-suffering sisters, Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton. It has been widely reported that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was given a pass out of rehab to attend her daughter's May 23 wedding in Mexico and then failed to return to the facility. Instead Richards reportedly spent a week partying in Mexico, proving that sobriety wasn't really her top priority after all. Now both sisters have cut her off, both financially and emotionally.
According to an exclusive report by Radar Online, "Hilton has supported the former child star for "the last several years, after Kyle stopped paying for a majority of their sister's bills. After Kim relapsed at Brooke's wedding, Kathy realized that she was enabling the behavior. There will no longer be any money going to Kim from Kathy." The monthly support ranged from $5,000 - $10,000, the source adds.
Much of the Bravo storyline surrounding Kim and Kyle has been about their broken relationship. It seems that Kyle has spent years trying to save her sister only to be met with major hostility. We're now hearing that Kyle has washed her hands of Kim and her addiction problems, realizing that some of her help actually helped to enable the addictions.
Richards is currently in a facility in Pacific Palisades, CA, which offers yoga, massage and various other treatments to help those struggling with addiction issues. The reality star also has criminal charges stemming from an April DUI pending and if she doesn't complete rehab then any kind of plea deal looks pretty unlikely.
